Objectives
- To provide youth with the labour market information that they need to make decisions
about their education, career, and lives.
- To provide initiatives that increase youth’s awareness of issues that affects them.
- To encourage community partnerships amongst organizations servicing youth.
Objectives
- To assist students at risk of dropping out of school before graduation.
- To inspire through experience, and instruct youth from grades 9 to 12 with the “tools” necessary to graduate from high school.

- The Youth Career Experience Program is designed to assist participants in assessing their skills and identifying a career goal.
- To provide participants with opportunities to access prior learning assessments.
- Job shadowing experience through on-the-job training with selected coordinators (employers).

- To provide career related employment opportunities for students to develop skills through on-the-job training;
- To provide local businesses/organizations with summer help;
- To encourage personal development through life skills and job readiness training, while stressing the importance of staying in school.

- To provide off-reserve Aboriginal students (that are returning to school) a contribution grant to create summer employment, and gain valuable business experience by operating their own business.
Objectives
- Youth Internship provides Post Secondary graduates with career related skills and work experience to help make a successful transition into the labour market.
- Priority will be given to business administration, applied sciences, information technology and environment graduates.

- Youth Work Experience provides training and work experience for individuals by
providing on-the-job training costs, wage subsidies and other specified costs to employers.

- To enhance and ensure the successful completion of an approved apprenticeship training program.

- Skills Development provides training support to youth who lack specific skills, in order to secure and maintain employment.

- To provide financial assistance for Youth that want to start there own business. Youth may receive an allowance and business support while they develop and
implement their business plan. Approval determined by Youth Service Officer.
